Archival Work

Here’s a collection of work I’ve done to archive various pieces of media. I also have done a lot of research for projects and have helped people figure out how best archive certain formats beyond what my capitiltes are here.

Photographs

The photos used in this video were found with a bunch of slides at an estate sale. I created high quality the TIFF scans of the slides along with JPEGS for easy sharing.

Archival and production work

Project I shot and edited for a hotel project in my town. I did a lot of book, photographic, and newspaper research to find images of the hotel being built. This video also shows an old video of Fayette that I copied from a VHS tape I was able to track down the original 16mm reel of film many years later. The below video is that video and was shot Nov 1940 as part of a 40 minute newsreel for many years the reel was lost until I was able to track it down while I did not archive it I did spearhead the with big help from a family friend getting it to an archivist (Bradley Reeves) who was able to save the film. This has lead to the discovery of other similar films that have yet to be located.

While I didn’t archive this I was instrumental in saving the original film.
